One of my favourite things to do is go on holiday and see different places. So when i get a chance to visit abroad to perform at a wedding (especially to somewhere I have never been before), this has to be up there as one of the best jobs I can get!
Having performed at three weddings abroad in May, I am now safely back in England, albeit a little more sunburnt than I was when i left.
My first Stop saw me performing in Puglia in Italy at a delightful little venue. The line up was piano, saxophone and DJ – although thankfully the Wedding Planner hired in all the equipment. I would definitely recommend doing this if you are getting married abroad, as it makes life much easier for the travelling musicians, and can actually work out much cheaper and safer. The agenda of the day saw live piano at the ceremony, followed by live sax and piano during drinks reception and some short piano and saxophone sets in the evening during dinner. Once everyone had eaten, the crowd partied the night away with our DJ Dan, who also plays saxophone.
The only regret for the couple was that the weather didn’t hold out. They had hoped for a wedding completely outside, but, luckily, it was a fantastic venue inside too and the party I organised was fantastic and had the whole room jumping the whole evening.
One of the most picturesque and beautiful weddings I had ever attended – particular the ceremony. To get married on the beach, by the sea must be one of the most romantic things in the world, and I believe it was for this fabulous couple. I performed at the ceremony with the amazing Moni Tivony from the Voice, and Katie Sharp on the Violin. You can check out a few pictures and a video of this wonderful ceremony.
My Final Trip abroad to perform at a wedding in May came at this beautiful venue in Rebate, Spain, on the South Coast. The weather certainly did not let us down here and the scenery was absolutely beautiful overlooking the mountains and coast line. Performances here included ceremony piano, piano & vocalist during dinner. Thanks to Helen and Richard for having us as their entertainment.
If you are thinking of having a wedding abroad – please do not hesitate to get in touch. I have a lot of experience in organising wedding music abroad and always love the opportunity to do so 🙂
