Wedding of Sadie and Danny – Luxe Showband
I am working extremely hard with my sister company BM Artists and this is where I get most of my fabulous vocalists from when clients want a wedding band. One of the great things about choosing Ross Wall and BM Artists, is the amazing versatility when choosing what kind of entertainment you want for your wedding or event. When the client comes to us and says that they want a show-band we can most certainly offer them that, but the thing this particular client liked the most was they got to choose which singers they could have in the band from our vast array of Artists. After a variety of Soul, pop and Garage music, they opted for Lifford – whose Garage repertoire is undeniable and Dee – whose broad range of genres means that she can pretty much sing any song she likes. This was a key part of the day for the client whose wish it was to have these styles of music within their evening party set 🙂 The mixture of male and female vocals also means that a wider range of music can be covered as opposed to having two females or two males.
The Day itself
On the day of their wedding, we organised the Piano for the ceremony played by myself. I was also band manager on the day and headed up arranging the whole set list, as well as helping to organise the stage and the dance floor requirements for the clients. For me, no job is too small or big and I always go the extra mile to make sure the client is happy. In case you are wondering where the venue is – its an amazing place with exceptional views of London called 8 Club, Moorgate . The layout of the space really helped us to create a beautiful setting and the venue staff were also really excellent at catering to all of our needs.
During the drinks reception, I also continued his piano set and played a mixture of pop, jazz and easy listening classics as the guests sipped on their Prosecco and nibbled on their Canopes.
The Evening Entertainment
The evening set up was my 7 Piece Show Band, ‘Luxe’ for 2 x 1 hour sets of non stop floor fillers, and my superstar Sax/DJ main man ‘Brendan’ doing his thing in between the live band sets. This helps to keep the party going even when the band are taking a break and this was certainly the case on the night. As always, we are extremely happy to learn the first Dance as per the client request which was performed beautifully by Lifford and then went into a 1 hour party set from the band covering a range of soul, 70’s, classics, 90’s throwback and popular music – perfect for dancing the night away.
Our state of the art sound system is installed by our on site sound production team, who also mix the performance whilst we are playing in order to keep an eye on volume levels and make sure there are no nasty frequencies or microphone feedback rolling around the room! This is all part of the package with any of mine and Brendans BM Artist packages as we take pride in quality and perfectionism. Check out some of the below live footage from the evening with even some behind the scenes footage from the stage!
Superstar Vocalist Lifford performing his original Garage Classic ‘Please Don’t Turn Me On’ by the Artful Dodger (Yes, he was the original vocalist on the track – Released 2000!)
Our superstar Sax Man Brendan performing Jubel by Klingande on the Sax as Only Brendan can!
The Event finally came to an end at 12am after what was an epic party and these sentiments were definitely echoed by the fabulous bride and groom the next day who it was a pleasure to work with and liaise with on their special day:
